Dr. Caroline (Seger) Spencer is happy to be practicing optometry in her hometown of Louisville, KY. Dr. Spencer completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology Summa Cum Laude at Bellarmine University. She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry Summa Cum Laude at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
While attending the Southern College of Optometry Dr. Spencer was awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award. Dr. Spencer is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, as well as the American and Kentucky Optometric Associations.
Dr. Spencer completed primary eye care training at Eye Care Centers of Richmond, KY, as well as ocular disease training at Bennett and Bloom in Louisville, KY. Dr. Spencer enjoys fitting contact lenses and managing ocular diseases including dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Dr. Spencer also specializes in YAG capsulotomy, a laser procedure to remove scar tissue build-up after cataract surgery.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Spencer enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with her family and husband, Dr. Geoffrey Spencer, DMD.
