Originally from Fargo, ND, he received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Dakota. He went on to obtain his doctorate degree, graduating with honors, from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. While at Pacific University he served on mission trips to Peru and the Philippines providing glasses and free eyecare. He then completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the Michigan College of Optometry in Big Rapids, MI. He is trained in specialty lenses including scleral lenses, myopia control/orthokeratology lenses, and multifocal contact lenses.
He specializes in difficult-to-fit patients such as those with keratoconus or irregular corneas, corneal transplants, post-RK or LASIK patients, and severe dry eye.
